Christopher Nolan reinvents Batman for the new millenium.
Gone are the over the top histrionics and unnecessarily high salaries and ego's of the megastars.
Gone too are the shallow and superfluous plot lines.
In their place are style, substance and, in the form of Christian Bale, the best Batman yet. Understated and disturbed, his performance is wonderful.
The script and direction are top notch too.
A wonderful introduction to the future of Batman.
