This is a powerful, claustrophobic and intense movie that really pulls no punches.
The story is fairly well known:
A group of friends head off on a rafting trip into Nowheresville, USA. Everything is fine until they encounter some of the locals, whose intentions are not as pure and innocent as their God fearing ways would suggest.
The male rape scene stands out in the memory long after the movie has finished, as it is graphic, disturbing and very effective.
The film is also notable for the duelling banjo's scene, perhaps one of the most parodied in movie history.
This is a great film, with four remarkable lead actors.
Very frightening, without a drop of blood being seen.
