Favourite line:"I am not an ant!"

A flight due to land in America en route from Colombia is prohibited from landing, and warned that it will be shot out of the sky if it attempts to touchdown.
Is there some deadly nerve agent on board?
Perhaps an outbreak of a flesh eating microbe?
Or did the authorities learn that Anne Widdicombe was on the flight?
None of those things, I'm afraid, the menace here is ants.
Bullet ants.
Deadly bullet ants.
Deadly, genetically modified bullet ants.
Deadly genetically modified bullet ants that seem to possess preternatural intelligence that work together as one entity to cripple the aircraft one system at a time, chewing and stinging their way through wires and pipes and tubings to wreak havoc for the pilot and his crew.
The passengers are useless in the face of this tiny, silent adversary but, as luck would have it, there is an entomologist on board - isn't there always? - as well as her precocious teenage daughter, and an Air Marshall all too willing to lend a hand. The three of them must convince the crew and passengers to work together else be stung to death by the little blighters before they get chance to make an emergency landing.

It's a TV movie, and it's a little bit shit, but if you like the occasional bug movie - I do - you may get something out of this.
The acting is about on a par for this type of thing, the effects likewise, and the direction pretty lifeless, but I've seen worse.
I'd rather watch this than a lot of major Hollywood tripe, anyway, but I know I am in the minority.
Doesn't make me wrong though, kids.
Doesn't make me wrong.
