Favourite line:"I know what I know and I know I don't like that nut sack...”

Rob Zombie's slightly disappointing sequel to his own excellent House of 1000 Corpses, this sees the Firefly clan on the run after the Texas police force turn up at their home, scene of the first movie, en masse.
Whilst on the lam, inevitably, they end up slaughtering anyone they happen to run into, the whole time being hunted by a deranged Sherriff by the name of John Wydell, on a vendetta of vengeance for the slaying of his own brother.
It's grisly and manic, as is the first film, but this one seems to be a little too self-congratulatory, straying into parody instead of taking the world being created seriously enough. It's a bit like when Freddy started cracking jokes in the Elm Street series, the transition in character losing any fear factor along the way.
It has its moments, and there are some great visuals, it just doesn't hold up well enough as a whole.
Great ending though.
