Favourite line:"When you have insomnia, you're never really asleep... and you're never really awake."

David Fincher's testosterone fuelled classic is a grim, vicious, savage piece, utterly bitter in it's outlook on the state of society, and unflinching in its portayal of the solution to the frustration of life in the latter part of the twentieth century.
A young man, utterly disillusioned with his piss poor job and piss poor apartment and piss poor life, is transformed upon meeting a vibrant, successful anarchist. Between them, they set up a secret society - Fight Club - in which men will engage in highly physical conflict, though without any fear of reprisal after the event. They all know the score. What happens in Fight Club is nothing personal, it is essential.

Many may question why this is in the horror section, but this movie can be considered as nothing else. Bleak, grimy, dystopian, but without the technological or scientific trappings that would qualify it as a sci-fi flick, this is as frightening as cinematic visions get.
Stunning.
