This is one of the sickest in the series, at least in terms of concept, which I heartily approve of.
A journalist is sent on assignment by her editor who has received a videotape from a member of a cult, who appear able to bring people back from the dead.
The journalist, Amy, heads off like all good investigative journalists in movies, only to discover that the female cult member who supplied the tape is dead, and is found with an unusual box clasped in her hands.
Couldn't be the Lament Configuration, could it?
You bet your soul it is!
An interesting premise, though the Cenobites are underused somewhat and, frankly, this could have been any old monster in their place.
Still, a decent enough horror movie.
