Very disappointing sequel to one of the better of the modern wave of Hollywood horrors.
A shame, especially as the same director and writer was at the helm.

The plot:
A school bus stuffed to the gills with knuckle-headed jock American Football players and their respective cheerleaders is on the way home following a successful campaign. Suddenly, a tyre blows, and the driver - a muscular woman who would terrify you to your soul - discovers a strange object embedded in it; a four pronged blade fashioned into a kind of ninja star, the centre-piece of which is a human tooth.
They continue their journey, when another tyre blows and again the strange object is discovered. It's not too long before The Creeper shows up and starts picking the dimwits off one at a time....
There's a bit more to it than that - a vengeful father, a prophetic cheerleader - but the main focus is on the isolated vehicle and the young souls within at the mercy of the flesh hungry, bewinged monster outside.

Whilst the original traded on tension and claustrophobia, here we are delivered shock and awe, splatter instead of suspense, and it just doesn't work, largely due to the fact that the movie itself doesn't have the balls to follow through on the gory goodness sufficiently.
A major flaw, too, and one that many sequels suffer from is the fact that we see the bad guy/thing way too early, removing all mystery.
It's loud, as well.
Jesus, it's loud.
The acting style seems to be in two parts.
1: Macho posturing, swaggering with biceps and pecs tensed and voice as deep as possible.
2: Scraymin' 'n' squaylin' 'n' bellowin' like bloody maniacs, and it made my head hurt after a while.
Disappointed all in all.
I'd give it a miss if I were you.
