Favourite line:"I'm trying to make an intelligent film about murder, whilst actually doing the murders."

This is a highly original movie.
It starts off with a vague parody of the title sequence to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, then the opening sequence is a typical woman alone in a diner, phone rings, no-one there moment.
This quickly changes as the actual setup of the movie becomes apparent.
A real life psycopath has taped over the movie you have rented from the video store, and replaced it with a video diary chronicling his misdeeds over the past several months.
His intention - to educate you in your misguided attitudes about violence and, ultimately, to place you, the viewer, in the heart of the action. An intriguing premise, made more vivid by the hand held camera filming technique used.
The fact that it is set in grim suburban England only makes things more believable. The only slight hang up I have is with the lack of viscera on show. If this had been more gore 'n' gut-tastic it would have got full marks.
As it is, a good idea, an intriguing concept, and recommended to anyone who enjoys horror movies or is interested in the human condition.
