Favourite line:"You're so fucking weak!"

Taut, genuinely frightening thriller in which Jennifer Jason Leigh plays a flat mate to Bridget Fonda.

At first, everything seems fine, but gradually it becomes apparent that Leigh is becoming more and more obsessed with her flatmate. She starts to wear her clothes, tries to look like her - even to the point of changing hairstyles to match - and eventually, even manages to have sex with Fonda's boyfriend in the dark, him believing it to be his girlfriend (well, that's what he claims anyway. I'm not so sure...)

The increasing sense of claustrophobia experienced by Fonda is unsettling, and the realism of the situation, at least to begin with, gives it an air of real menace.
Intense, violent and well acted, this is a first rate thriller.
