Tim Burton, he's a card you know.
He'll have a blast at genre's that few directors would dare tackle. Just look at Nightmare Before Christmas or Ed Wood for confirmation.
This time around he's interested in the legend of The Headless Horseman.
It's all very gothic and spooky - we expect no less from Burton - and proceedings are helped along admirably by the always watchable Johnny Depp as Ichabod Crane, a kind hearted by cowardly hero.
This is mainstream creepiness, for sure, but with Burton at the helm you are guaranteed strong visuals and a rampant imagination, and that's just what you get.
