This desperately wants to be a great film - see the closing two minutes - but is crippled by the fact thtat it is a Nazi Experiment movie.
A tough tag to shake.
The mood is set by the Swastika in the opening titles.
There's some real moments of bad taste throughout - for example the Monkey Man in the cage who is being used to test out if a person can be shagged to death, keeps penetrating one of his helpless victims even after she has died.
Things are spiced up with a couple of lesbian moments between the main experiment woman and one of her underlings, though unfortunately the underling isn't the greatest to look at, though interestingly, it appears that all female SS officers wore stockings(!).
Historical fact, if we use this movie as a basis for historical facts.
There are also a few hilarious moments, that are entertaining just because they are in such poor taste, and are clearly put in for shock value. For example, an SS officer machine gunning an old woman and a baby in swaddling clothes being thrown into the air and shot.
Overall, this is more entertainig than I thought it would be, at least the bits with the SS officers.
The rest of the movie - some resistance fighters plotting against the bad guys, and some stock war footage - is mind crushingly dull.
Worth a look.
