Brian Yuzna is back on production duties, which is always a sign of an OTT, gory, entertaining horror romp in the old style.
And that is a fairly accurate description of what this film delivers.
The initial setup kind of suggests that this is going to be a slasher movie, and it's quite clever the way this is done, only to dispel that thought once the big fucking insects put in an appearance.
Essentially, this is a 'When Nature Attacks' movie, and it's all done pretty convincingly. There's gore, entertaining deaths, and enough close ups of creepy crawlies to give many the willies.
Turn your brain off, sit back and enjoy.
