Entertainingly 80's horror / fantasy romp.
A warlock, sentenced to death in the 17th Century manages to escape to the present day - well, 1986 - but the witchfinder who trapped him in the past follows him, pursuing him across time and Middle America!
Julian Sands is superb as The Warlock, conveying a suitable sense of menace and a genuinely evil aura.
Richard E. Grant, replete with terrible Scottish accent, is the witchfinder who teams up with a rather attractive native to hunt his prey.
Bad effects, bad hair and bad accents abound, but this is never less than engaging, and I for one thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great fun.
