Favourite line:"I thought you were in Sudan killing babies."

Futuristic action thriller, that very nearly manages to be great.

The plot:
Vin Diesel plays Toorop, a hired gun, enlisted by Russian Mafia sort Gorsky (Depardieu) to transport a young woman from a Mongolian Convent to New York.
Sounds easy enough, but Toorop is wanted dead or alive in America, and there are sinister forces at play that also want to get their hands on the young woman.

It's a fairly trite plot device, for sure, but it's handled with some conviction.
Vin Diesel is competent enough as the beef, Michelle Yeoh great as always as the kick ass action woman, though Mélanie Thierry is a smidgen annoying as the young woman at the centre of it all, Aurora.
With some great action set pieces - the snow-bikes hunted by aerial drones is top class - and more than capable direction, this is a decent sci-fi actioner.
