Favourite line:"I guess you've noticed something a little strange with Dad. It's okay, though. I'm still Dad."

Steven Spielberg's massively impressive sci-fi classic.

Richard Dreyfuss plays regular everyman Roy Neary who, when on his way to investigate the reason behind a power cut, has an encounter with what appears to be an alien spacecraft.
Soon his world is turned upside down as his obsession with the incident gains in strength.
A five note melody keeps playing through his mind, there's an amusing incident with mashed potato, and he is drawn overpoweringly, along with dozens of others, to a spot in the middle of the desert, where the truth is about to be revealed.

Intelligent, forward thinking and paranoid, this is stunning sci-fi, and possibly Spielberg's best movie.
