The Kurgan.
Sounds great, right?
And really it should be. But it's not.
What a massive disappointment this was.
Having spawned 2 sequels, and being something of a cult mega-hit having failed so spectacularly at the box office, I thought this film would be everything I love. Instead, we have a mish-mash of none-events, wooden acting and the ropyist dialogue this side of Debbie Does Dallas.
The only true saving grace is The Kurgan, a masterful turn by Clancy Brown as the neck scarred Immortal.

The plot, for the three people left on earth yet to see this: Some people are born immortal and must compete to lop off each others heads during the time of The Gathering, the ultimate victor claiming The Prize.

Vague as a Height Ashbury survivor then.
The ingredients should work together, but fall flat, and even the muscular Queen soundtrack can't save this one and, instead, only serves to intrude all too frequently.
Disappointed.
