Jubei is a Ninja who has survived a plague that has struck his home town.
He is now a wanderer.
He is recruited, through trickery and the promise of an antidote to a poison that is coursing through his veins, to help defeat the 8 Demons of Kimon.
The demons themselves are excellent, imaginative and pure evil, and the set pieces involving them are superb.
This is certanly not for kids, containing reasonably graphic sex scenes and incredibly brutal violence.
The plot is coherent and the dialogue half decent too, though the version I watched was subtitled (the preferred way to watch Anime anyway).
Recommended.
