Wildly irreverent tale based on the Brett Easton Ellis novel, and brought to screen in as faithful a way as is possible without gaining an X rating.
Christian Bale is excellent as Patrick Bateman, the shallow, up and comer in true Reaganite yuppy mode by day, murderous maniac by night.
Some excellent direction and a great script really lift this beyond the pale.
