Director:Francis Ford Coppolla
Genre: Fear, isolation, warfare
Starring:Marlon Brando, Martin Sheen
Rating:5/5
IMDB link:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078788/
Tagline:The Horror. . . The Horror. . .
Favourite line:"I've seen horrors... horrors that you've seen. But you have no right to call me a murderer. You have a right to kill me. You have a right to do that... but you have no right to judge me. It's impossible for words to describe what is necessary to those who do not know what horror means. Horror. Horror has a face..."

Spellbinding movie making here.
The cast genuinely seem to suffer as they are inflicted with the trials and travails of life in South East Asia.
The performances are unparallelled - Sheen and Brando being the standouts.
As far as cinematography that 'puts you in the action', this has yet to be beaten. And the last hour, once Marlon puts in an appearance, is possibly the best hour of cinema that has ever been filmed. It won't feel like an hour, but it may feel like more as the tension levels are cranked through the fucking roof.
Amazing, and relevant even today.
A must see movie for everyone.
