Favourite line:"I'd say it was probably the fall that killed this guy... or it could be the crowbar embedded in his skull. I'd say it's about 50-50."

Interesting, and morally ambiguous thriller which sees Jodie Foster back in Panic Room / Flightplan mode as a surprisingly tough, rugged woman, Erica Bain, whose life is shattered when herself and her boyfriend are attacked in Central Park. She's comatose, he's dead, but she still remembers the details of what happened. She also happens to be a radio show host, so gets to air her grievances publically, much to her bosses initial annoyance.
After recovering from her physical injuries, she obtains a gun for protection, which she carries in her handbag. Shortly after, she's on the subway and witnesses a pair of youths haranguing passengers, all of whom alight at the next stop just to get away from the thugs.
She doesn't, she sits quietly in her seat.
As the train pulls off, the youths notice her and approach. One of them threatens her with a knife, and she promplty shoots him dead before turning the gun on his companion.
So begins a brutal and bloody spate of revenge killings, as she takes it upon herself to eliminate the violent, the vicious and the venereal.

Intelligent, well played and thoughtfully scripted, this poses the question: Is she in the wrong?
A quality movie.
