Disappointing Van Damme action here.
One Bored Man Damme plays a French policemen who, unbeknownst to himself, has an identical twin brother or rather had an identical twin brother. The movie starts out with the death of said brother, in a reasonably clever foil, briefly fooling the viewer into believing it is the Man Slamme imperiled. Not only is the brother dead but, it turns out, he was a notorious Mafiosa, hailing from New York having been separated from his brother at birth. Well, One Bored heads off to find out what he can about his sibling and it's not too long before he is embroiled in a battle with the Mafia in NYC, not to mention falling foul of the FBI.
Utter nonsense, of course it is, but One Bored's movies always are.
What lets this one down in particular is the lack of cohesion in the action scenes. It gets difficult to follow what's going on and why and, ultimately, you lose the will to follow the storyline.
Plus points include a hilariously homo-erotic fight in a sauna, all steamy muscle bound men writhing as well as a great sequence involving a spot of train dodging.
Other than that, forgettable indeed.
