Excellent situational farce where Ben Stiller plays a likeable everyman, intent on marrying his girlfriend, but first he must seek the approval of her father, played wonderfully straight by the ever great Robert De Niro.
There are some classic scenes - the lie detector being foremost amongst them - and this is one of a very few films that elicits genuine belly laughs from me.
Funny from beginning to end, well played by all concerned, this is a fine comedy indeed.
