Based loosely on Homer's Odyssey, this is the tale of a group of convicts who escape and ultimately form a singing combo that take America by storm, and find fame and fortune.
This is almost a musical, which would normally put me right off, but the unusual style of the music, and the inherent humour in the script make this an absolute pleasure.
As ever with the Coen brothers, the direction and cinematography are just gorgeous.
This is a great film.
