Is there anyone in the Western world who hasn't seen this movie?
Spielberg's homage to the pulp adventures from the black and white era, this is an absolute riot.
Focusing on the race between Indiana Jones and the Nazi's to obtain The Ark of the Covenant, said to contain the original stone tablets upon which were written The Ten Commandments, and any who possess it will be bestowed enormous power.
Of course, the plot is almost unimportant, although the Biblical references do somehow add an air of gravitas to the movie.
No, this is all about the stunt scenes which, from the huge boulder to the fight under a moving bomber, to the snake pit are just about as famous as movie scenes get.
Superb stuff.
