Favourite line:"He's not human. He's like a piece of iron."

Fourth in the series, and this time, Rocky gets political.

Dolph Lundgren plays Ivan Drago, a superhuman boxing machine from behind the Iron Curtain, in America to prove himself against the best. Apollo Creed seems incensed by his very presence in America, and arranges an exhibition bout with him. Unfortunately, the Russian crushes him, killing him outright in the ring. Naturally, Rocky is vexed to say the least, and must go to Russia to fight in an unauthorised match, bent on revenge.

Essentially, this is an identikit Rocky movie, piecing several sections together that have been seen before and, whilst in no way bad, you do get the feeling that the franchise is running out of steam. The five minute flash back montage with a God awful 80's rock ballad playng in the background merely serves to confirm this.
Plus points: Dolph Lundgren is great, a genuine man mountain and, though he says only ten words throughout the films duration, he does leave an impression, and the training scenes in rural Russia are great fun too.
Not bad overall.
