Jackie Chan's first real foray into the American market (I think he had an earlier attempt called The Protector that bombed big style) sees our lovable hero tangling with local street gangs and the local criminal fraternity in a comedy caper that is only partially successful.
Entertainingly, Vancouver stands in for New York throughout, for budgetary reasons presumably, and it is painfully obvious that they are NOT in New York!
The fight scenes are still superb, with some very skillful use made of various alleyway clutter.
A good film, that Jackie Chan fans will certainly enjoy, though far from his finest hour.
