This is an excellent movie.
Dark, sadistic, with a very clever plot, this is nerve shreddingly frightening throughout. The cast is superb, the direction even better, and there are some genuine jump out of your seat, piss your pants moments too.

Kevin Spacey plays a sociopath, intent upon teaching the world the evil of its ways. His chosen method is to kill somebody in such a way as to highlight one of the seven deadly sins. Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman are the detectives assigned to the case, and they must enter the mind of the killer if they are to have any chance of stopping him.

The imagination behind the methods of torment is amazing, and this can easily be seen as the precursor to such multiplex horror fodder as Saw and Hostel.
Tense, scary and dramatic, with a wicked twist in the tale, this is simply superb.
