Peter Kay's first foray onto TV (as far as I am aware anyway) sees him delivering stand alone episodes, each one focusing on one of his comedy characers, and their seemingly mundane lives.
The comedy comes through the familiarity of their plight, especially if you grew up on a council estate, as you will have met all of these people before in reality.
Highlights of the show include the ice cream van driver, the bingo hall and, of course, the first take on the nightclub owner, which would eventually go on to be the basis for the wonderful Phoenix Nights.
Not perfect, but entertaining neverthless.
