Favourite line:"I've lived by their rules my entire life. I've protected them. envied them. and for what? To be treated like an animal. We are not animals! Is this want you want? We can be slaves, or we can be... LYCANS!"

Third installment in the werewolf, vampire goth-off, this one witjhout the delectable Kate Beckinsdale.

The plot:
For centuries, the vampires and the werewolves have waged war, but 'twas not always so for, in the time before the time known as now, the Lycan were slaves to the vampire, held in thrall to their bloodsucking masters.
One creature, Lucian, was a link between the two species but, when he chose to side with his Lupine element, the werewolves revolted, and rose up en masse against their captors.....

And it's a pretty humdrum affair.
Visually all is dark and sombre, the rain falling in an endless stream, the light never getting any brighter than duskfall.
The story line is confused and sporadic, with moments of diabolical exposition interspersed with action scenes and fight sequences that, due to the poor lighting, are really hard to see.
The special effects are surprisingly poor, as well, particularly the realisation of the werewolves in motion, the graphics seeming little more than a cartoon which, for a movie that cost $35,000,000 frankly is not good enough.
Overall, a fairly unremarkable entry for the franchise, and one that will hopefully be the last.
