Tagline: | Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks made a movie so titillating we can only show you these drawings. |
Favourite line: | None worth mentioning |
Desperately uninspired offering from indie darling Kevin Smith.
The plot:
Zack and Miri have known each other most of their lives.
Zack and Miri live together in a platonic relationship.
Zack and Miri are having money troubles.
Zack and Miri decide to make a pornographic movie to ease their woes.
Though they are meant to feature in the film, Zack and Miri's blossoming romance causes friction.
Zack and Miri fall out.
Zack and Miri get it together.
As predictable a formula as a romantic comedy gets, the only twist here being the overt sex angle, this is frankly a painful offering from Smith who, rather depressingly, is mellowing with age.
Seth Rogen as Zack is as loud and shouty and fucking American as it is possible to be, which is terribly irritating, whilst Elizabeth Banks just kind of simpers and flutters her eyelids.
Though the reviews weren't great for this, I still went in with an open mind, hoping for a return to form, but instead found this to be a great disappointment.
Toothless stuff.
