Favourite line:"Whoa, whoa. You better watch what you say about my car. She's real sensitive."

Often classed as both a bad Stephen King conversion to cinema, and a bad John Carpenter movie, I thought that this was neither.
It's fairly faithful to the original novel - obviously dispensing with the 'personality' side of the car as that would be next to impossible to capture effectively on film.
Instead, this focuses on the cars owners' descent into paranoia and neurosis.
A convincing portrayal by Keith Gordon gives this credibility, and at times it is pretty disturbing.
Not much violence though, so if that's what you are after best to avoid.
Decent.
