Year:1994
Country of origin:USA
Director:Bradford May
Genre:Comic book adaptation
Starring:Larry Drake, Arnold Vosloo, Kim Delaney
Rating:3/5
IMDB link:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109552/
Tagline:Vengeance strikes hardest in the dark.
Favourite line:"Be careful - he bites!"

Darkman returns in a sequel that is little more than a remake of the original, though without the directorial panache that Sam Raimi brings to proceedings.
Gone too is Liam Neeson - clearly too expensive by this point - and in his place is Arnold Vosloo, one of those actors who has been in loads of things, though you can never really remember him.
It's not a bad film all round - Durant and his cronies want a piece of land for their criminal activities, but, wouldn't you know it, a scientist who just happens to be experimenting on photo-sensitive flesh-like polymers refuses to sell up. Step to the plate Mr Darkman, to assist him against the forces of tyranny of the finger removal type, and you've got a dark comic book caper.
Enjoyable, for sure, though I couldn't credit it as being unmissable.
