Rodriguez and Tarantino take it in turns to script a half each, and boy can you tell.
The first half is a taut, well dialogued kidnap plot in typical Tarantino style, whilst the second half is a veritable feast of mindless violence and gore, and is just great fun to watch thanks to the capable direction and scribing of Rodriguez.
Salma Hayek is stunning as the seductress with the snake, and Tom Savini makes one mean vamp.
Pure entertainment.
