John Carpenters tour de force horror masterpiece.
Tense, atmospheric, scary and riveting.

The plot is as simple as it gets: A young boy is unhinged, and takes it upon himself to kill his own sister. He winds up institutionalised, where he refuses to communicate in any way. For fifteen long years he stays there in silence, his psychiatrist, played by Donald Pleasance, is utterly unable to get through to him. One night, he manages to escape, and heads for home, where he intends to kill off the remainder of his family.

The ultimate slasher movie, this is a must see for any horror fan.
Brilliant.
