A direct continuation of the original, this is very good, though it doesn't quite have the flair of that movie, possibly because Carpenter dropped to writing duties only and didn't direct this himself, which is a shame.
The plot is identical, as Michael Myers continues to stalk Jamie Lee Curtis relentlessly.
The hospital bound scenes are wonderful.
Slightly more violent, though not quite as effective, this is nevertheless a stylish slasher flick.
