Favourite line:"Stop firing. Stop firing!"

A regular couple are expecting their second child some eleven years after their first born.
Everything seems fine until the moment of delivery when, quite unexpectedly, the thing that emerges from the mother's vagina sets about slicing and dicing the medical staff, before escaping through a sunlight in the ceiling.

Yes, it's another classic from Larry Cohen!
Played surprisingly straight for a film with such a ridiculous premise, this follows the anguish of the parents, and in particular the father, as he hunts for the mutant offspring hellbent on leaving a trail of corpses in its wake.
Well directed, and with a script that is way above average for this kind of low budget nonsense, this really has only one flaw - it's not preposterous enough.
Entertaining, and a cult favourite, horror completists should check this one out.
