Tagline:A horror film set on a lonely farm in rural Ireland
Favourite line:"That calf's not right. You need to kill it."

One of those films that sounds ridiculous when you describe the premise, but is handled so effectively that the actual plot matters little.
Possibly the first Irish film I have ever seen, and if this is the quality of all of them it won’t be my last.

The plot revolves around a small dairy farm involved in genetic experiments to increase the fertility of cattle. Of course, things go wrong, and it isn't long before the parasitical offspring of the helpless bovines are running amok.

Lots of mud and ooze, as well as slime, viscera and blood help make this feel truly horrible.
The cast is small and effective, and the direction excellent for such a low budget offering.
One that slipped under my radar upon first release, this is well worth tracking down.
