Genre:Zombies

Rating:5/5
IMDB link:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0063350/
Tagline:They keep coming back in a bloodthirsty lust for HUMAN FLESH!
Favourite line:"They're coming for you, Barbara!"

Wonderfully atmospheric and, undeniably, one of the most influential horror movies ever made.
As I'm sure most people reading this will know, this is the original Romero zombie flick, and single handedly created a genre, that of the gore movie.
That description however, whilst true, sells this well short.
This is intelligent, thought provoking movie making that pushed at the boundaries of what was acceptable at the time.
The ironic ending, the black leading man, the gore and shock value were used to a greater extent than ever before.
Wonderfully crafted, suspenseful, and made even more remarkable by the miniscule budget required to shoot it.
Wonderful stuff.
