The Tall Man is back, along with the alien dwarf grave-robbers and his deadly silver balls. With a bigger budget, this is pretty much a direct continuation of the first Phantasm movie. Though not as wildly surreal as the first one, it still manages to be stranger than most US horror, and the iconic imagery is just great to watch.
The actor that plays Mike has changed, which is a shame as the new guy is too much of an all American hero, but that aside, this is as good as the first.
The gore quotient has been raised too, due to the increase in budget.
A very worthy follow up.
It also has one of my favourite horror themes too.
