Stuart Gordon's hectic, breath-taking and inspired take on an H.P. Lovecraft tale, this focuses on Herbert West, an odd scientific type who is interested in possessing the ability to bring things back from the dead.
West moves into a new house with a fellow medical student at the local hospital. Soon, the fellow student and his girlfrtiend are involved in the weird experimentation and all manner of crazed mayhem is set free.
Violent, gory, in wonderful bad taste, this is one of the best horror films ever made. Wilfully and joyfully manic, you'll be out of breath by the end of this.
