Absolutely terrifying Japanese horror.

The premise is thus:
Watch a certain videotape, and within 7 days you will be dead. Sounds simple doesn’t it?

And indeed it is plotwise, but this is far more about cranking up tension, unsettling images and corrupting horror cliches in an utterly spine tingling manner.
This is one of very few movies in the last ten years or so that actually made me feel afraid. The scene with the girl crawling out of the TV has to be seen to be believed and, once seen, won't be forgotten in a hurry.
Frightening and original, all horror fans must watch this.
