Tagline:He was the perfect husband until his one mistake followed them home.
Favourite line:"You had an affair with a girl who threatened to kill herself, and now there is a presence in our house. A young, blonde girl. Don't you get it? She did it, Norman. She's dead, and now she's trying to hurt you, or both of us."

Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer star in this spooky spine tingler that is both understated and effective.
No gore here, nor any real moments of violence, this is the horror of suggestion and situation, leaving much to the viewers own imagination, a factor many modern horror directors tend to overlook in favour of all out on screen viscera (not that I'm complaining about the viscera, mind!)

Ford and Pfeiffer seem to be the ideal couple, though they have their problems.
She was involved in a car accident and was forced to retire from her career as a professional cellist and, now, she has to send her daughter off to university, meaning she will be spending much of her time alone. As soon as this happens, she begins to see strange things in and around the lake near their home, and the truth surrounding the paranormal goings on will rip to the heart of her relationship with her beloved husband.

The leads are both strong, and this movie has its moments, though it doesn't score higher as it does drag in places.
Average.
