A fairly average zombie flick form the homeland, this actually disappointed me quite a lot.

On an island in the tropics, a mad doctor is conducting experiments on corpses, creating mindless zombies. An unsuspecting expedition turn up, eager to find a mysterious God that they believe they will discover evidence of on the island, only to find themselves over-run by marauding cannibals and flesh eating zombies.

It all sounds good enough, but the problem here is the fact that there is far too much pointless running around, adding nothing either in terms of plot or menace, and it also seems that the cannibals are more prevalent than the zombies.
I like a good cannibal as much as the next man, but given the choice between cannibal and zombie, there's simply no choice to make.
Acceptable, if not mind blowing Italian horror.
