Special effects Meister Renny Harlin found himself behind the lens for this sci-fi horror schlockathon and, it seemed, he was as confused by that fact as everyone else.

The plot:
A research laboratory comes under attack from the self-same super intelligent sharks on which they were conducting research.

That's all you need to know as, from the moment the sharks go on the rampage, nothing else of significance happens.
It's loud, it's crass, it's dumb as the science entry from the South Staffordshire Special School.
Not one to gripe normally about special effects, special mention must here be made of the CGI, which is ropey to say the least, and this was made some six years after Jurassic Park so there really was really no excuse by then.
Love sharks.
Love sci-fi.
Thought I'd love this.
I was wrong.
