When an important dignitary is the victim of an attempted assassination, the only way to save his life is to take extreme measures.
A crew is placed on board a submarine that can be miniaturised and injected into the individuals bloodstream, where the life saving procedures can be initiated from within the patients body.
Inevitably, once within the body, all manner of problems ensue, in particular the bodies own defence systems desperately trying to destroy the invasive foreign object suddenly floating around.
Throw in a saboteur on board the sub, and some startlingly hallucinogenic special effects, and you get an entertaining, if badly dated bit of sci-fi fluff.
Good to watch after a few tokes on the old sensimilla.
