Tim Burton's dark fantasy centres around Jack Skellington, the king of a place called Halloween Town, where all is dark and gloomy, witches and warlocks abound, and things that crawl and go bump in the night are commonplace. When he happens upon a different place, called Christmas Town he kidnaps Santa, and decides that this year he will deliver the presents. Inevitably, his ideas about suitable gifts aren't to everyone's liking.

Charming and witty, with enough black humour to satisfy even hardened horror fans, this is a visual delight.
Tim Burton one again demonstrates his towering imagination, and his love of the macabre.
An excellent animated movie.
