Favourite line:"Although Kazakhstan a glorious country, it have a problem, too: economic, social, and Jew."

Sacha Baron Cohen bravely ventures to both America and Romania (standing in for Kazakhstan) to expose the bigoted underbelly of the United states today.
He plays a character called Borat, an ambassador from Kazakhstan, ostensibly on a visit to understand the customs of the greatest superpower on Earth.
In reality, he is there to teach people just how insular and closed minded they are. He tackles subject after subject through the medium of mock interview, all political hot potatoes, and manages to inject an intelligent message into several scenes whilst at the same time being both crude and provocative.
Stand out scenes for me include the terrifying moments at the rodeo, when he starts singing the Kazakhstan national anthem to the tune of The Star Spangled Banner - the faces of the dim-witted rednecks is just priceless - and the naked wrestling, which is dumb, I know, but bloody hilarious.
Not to everyone's taste, sure, as it is pretty crude in places, but I liked this a lot.
