IMDB link:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0145681/
Tagline:Two cops on the trail of a brutal killer. They must see as one, they must act as one, they must think as one, before the next victim falls.
Favourite line:"I've got some news for you, you're not a cop anymore, you understand that? What you are is a fucking meddling cripple."

My good lady pretty much summed this up:
Upon being informed that it was a Denzel Washington movie she remarked, 'It will just be ok then, not great.' When I asked her to elaborate, she stated that every Denzel movie ever made falls into that category.
And, God damn it, she was only bloody right.

By the numbers serial killer thriller is what we have here, the twist being that Our Denzel is the improbably named Lincoln Rhyme, which I thought was a popular faux metal six piece combo from Agoura Hills, California, but apparently not.
He's a quadriplegic and an ex-cop with an amazing affinity for the clues that serial killers leave.
He's planning his own assisted suiciode, sick of a life restricted to a bed, when a series of murders convinces him to prolong his own life that little bit longer.
With the assistance of the ever-mediocre Angelina Jolie's Amelia Donaghy, it's up to him to try to stop the freakin' nut job, before he strikes again.

Efficient though not inspired, this felt a little like a watered down James Patterson novel.
As thrillers go, there was nowt wrong with it folks, but it won't stay in the memory banks for long, of that I am certain.
