Tagline:Survival is a Killer.
Favourite line:"I'm coming to cut your fucking heart out."

Sly back on action duty here, as a homicide detective who becomes victim, as a sadistic serial killer with the catchphrase "I see you," enters his home and slaughters his wife whilst he is on duty. Traumatised, and unable to perform his duties due to his emotionally unbalanced state, Sylvia winds up in a D-Tox clinic, though this isn't The Priory, folks. In the middle of nowhere, with a blizzard raging outside, this is the place cops on the edge are sent to clean up their act, either emotionally, or due to addiction.
Then, the cops start dying, and it seems the killer may have followed Sylvestia to the clinic to finish him off for good.

And it's not bad at all.
Straddling the line somewhat between cop thirller and slasher movie, this is by turns creepy and cheesy.
Sly can't act for shit here, for some reason, but it doesn't matter: This is hardly Taxi Driver.
As the numbers are wittled down, the survivors start to turn on each other and there are clear nods to Carpenter's The Thing throughout.
Way better than I expected and, given that I've still only given it a three you can see my hopes weren't high, there are worse ways to occupy a couple of hours one rainy evening.
