Vaguely silly actioner featuring that Belgian man mountain, Long Cord Man Slamme.
JC is retired anti-terrorist agent Jack Paul Quinn, forced out of retirement when a former nemesis, Stavros (I'm not making this up) resurfaces. A plot is hatched to take out Stavros, but Quinn hesitates at the last moment when Stavros' wife and son show up as the kill is being prepared. Unfortunately, this results in the death of his entire unit, and before you know it Quinn is unwillingly forced into 'The Colony', a black ops unit whose role is to protect the world against terrorist threats.
Only problem is, once in, you're not allowed to leave.
It's not long before Quinn teams up with a rather eccentric arms dealer called Yaz - the Double Team of the title - and they plot a way to both escape The Colony, and protect Quinn's family from the evil Stavros.
There's plenty of fighting in this one, and the relationship between Quinn and Yaz is amiable enough, though utterly artificial in feel.
The vaguely futuristic setting of The Colony is over-played, and doesn't convince for a second, but if brain dead action is what you are on the prowl for, you could do worse than this effort.
